Instameet Bocca

Bocca is a coffee-roaster which ensures that you can drink a very good coffee at many places in Amsterdam.
But maybe less known, they also have their own store. And its centrally located! It can be found in the Kerkstraat. Number 96 to be precise.

So what better way to have a comprehensive look somewhere than during an Instameet!

Instawhat? Yes, Instameet. Socialize “Offline” with the “online” community.

From buying coffee beans, to Barista training, to just sitting back and having a coffee, Bocca is the place to be.
Bocca was the first company in the Netherlands who held the whole process of selecting, purchasing, transporting, roasting and packaging the coffee under its own management.
For over 15 years, Menno and Tewis Simons have been roasting their own coffee. Bocca Coffee once started as a coffee roaster in the North of Amsterdam. But now they proudly also offer their own Bocca location / showroom / training centre. All in one.
Upon entry whats striking is the menu on the wall: white or black. Or.. Coffee with milk or a filter coffee or espresso.
After the multiple necessary cups of coffee and speaking to the new and known people that have shown up for this Instameet, it again is time to leave Bocca.

We wouldn’t be real Instagrammers if we do not also look for photos the minute we walk out the door and into the beautiful Amsterdam city centre. With a fairly large group we slowly make our way through some of the nearby streets and canals. Because yes, when you’re on the road with Instagrammers, moving from point A to point B, is something that happens very slowly.
On the Herengracht suddenly the opportunity presented itself to go up onto the rooftop off a very friendly young man, who originally certainly did not want to have his picture taken by one of our more creative members.
Access to a unique point of view over the city, is something some of us couldn’t pass up so within minutes about eight of us found ourselves climbing up on a roof and enjoying a great view over this part of the city.

Another successful evening.

On to the next.

What would make you consider coming to one of our Instameets? What would you want me and the @IGersAmsterdam to try and make accessible / possible?
